Working collaboratively towards a community free from alcohol harm
Amplifying voices of lived experience can create better health outcomes
The less alcohol you drink, the healthier you can be.

FARE works on evidence-informed policies and programs that will help achieve an Australia free from alcohol harms. Through our health programs we provide honest, accurate information to Australians to help them reduce their drinking and minimise alcohol harm in their lives and communities. Together with communities across the country, we also advocate for decision-makers to put the health and wellbeing of Australians first and for alcohol companies to be held accountable for the harms their products cause.
The less alcohol you drink, the healthier you can be. Cutting back on alcohol can improve your mood and sleep, increase your energy and concentration, boost your immunity, save you money and reduce your risk of long-term health problems.
Now more than ever, Australians deserve to have a say in the role that alcohol plays in their lives and communities. Will you join the community taking action on alcohol?

Alcohol companies are currently drawing people’s attention away from the risk of harm associated with alcohol use by using marketing claims that make their products appear healthy, including ‘low sugar’ and ‘low carb’. There is strong evidence that nutrition content marketing claims like these can create a ‘health halo effect’ on unhealthy products.
FARE is the only independent organisation focussed exclusively on alcohol harm in Australia. We follow and contribute to meaningful discussions about alcohol consumption, attitudes, behaviours, treatment, education, alcohol-related harms and policies.
Parents want clear information when it comes to the health of their babies. Check out these tips and strategies to ensure your breastmilk is alcohol free.
